My Project

My students are amazing. I teach pre-k students. My school is a Title 1 school. Most of our students receive free or reduced lunches. They come from low-income families. COVID has changed things for all these last couple of years. Children have been isolated at home with their parents and have difficulty transitioning to school. More so than ever in my 30 years of teaching.

My students are eager to learn and want to do well but they get tired and need to rest during the day.

They are still young. Many of our 18 mats were torn and getting old last year, and we also did not have enough. I was able to get the principal to order 12 new ones and I donated 11 myself that I found on Ebay. BUT, Over the summer, the nap mats that we had were thrown out by accident and we NEED to replace them! MY BABIES NEED A PLACE TO SLEEP!! PLEASE! We NEED 16 nap mats.
