My Students

I am the K-12 art teacher at a rural school in Missouri. My students are enthusiastic and excited about art projects every time I see them and we have so much fun. For some of these kiddos my class is the only time they get to paint, color with markers and be creative. Creativity is so important in learning problem-solving​ skills. I love to sit at the tables and color, draw or paint with my students while visiting with them about their day. They have so many fun things to tell me about what they have done and want to do with their lives.

My Project

Painting is so much fun and not everyone gets the chance to enjoy it, so I would love to share that with as many students as possible. Lots of times when we think of art we just think of construction paper and watercolor or tempera but when stepping into my classroom I hope the students remember or are transformed into an imaginary world. I am wanting to give them a chance to experience watercolor, tempera, acrylic, black glue and watercolor, printmaking and so many other things. Please help me make imaginations come to life!!!
