My Students

My 2nd grade students are an enthusiastic bunch of learners who love school! They show a curiosity and passion for learning new things. 2nd graders enjoy exploring new topics everyday!

When the coronavirus pandemic closed our school site, my students demonstrated grit and continued their learning journey at home.

My 2nd grade students continued to persevere with their learning. They actively participated in Zoom meetings, completed learning tasks independently, and adapted to an entirely new way of learning.

Despite our physical school site closing, learning continued.

My Project

Distance learning can be a challenge without all of the same resources that kids have at their disposal when at school. I aim to create tool kits for students to pick up at the beginning of the year. These tool kits will be filled with important resources and tools that will help each of my 2nd graders successfully begin distance learning at home.

Most importantly, these tool kits will help make each student’s home feel like the classroom, a place full of learning and possibilities!

2nd graders need hands on materials and tools to learn. These tool kits will provide students with the needed materials and supplies that will aid in successful learning at home. In each pouch, students will receive art supplies, hand held whiteboards, and instructional pages to glue into their interactive learning notebooks. All of these materials will help bring the classroom environment to each student’s home. Even though we will not be starting off the year in the classroom, learning will continue to occur!
