it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hi, I am an ESL teacher in a 9-12 New York City high school. I would like to request some nylon graphic organizers for use in my classroom. Graphic organizers are visuals that help students chart information and unpack complex concepts. I know from experience that ESL students benefit greatly from creating and building a body of information. Graphic organizers facilitate this process. With graphic organizers it is easy, for example, for students to clarify difficult tasks language like synonyms/antonyms/homonyms and compare/contrast. I am particularly eager to use graphic organizers for my Regents Prep class. ESL students have difficulty discerning themes and delineating literary elements and techniques in the literary and critical analysis tasks. Graphic organizers would allow students to chart commonalities and differences in works of literature, creating a basis for essay response. I very much hope to receive these graphic organizers as they will greatly help my students gain access to language and language arts skills.
