My Students

Students need to be able to read so they can make assessments, judgments and decisions about their lives in school, at home, and out in the real world. By making these new Nutmegs available to them, we have a chance to improve their reading ands comprehension skills.

There are 48 students in the cluster arrangement here at our school, all of whom are ready to move on to the middle school next year.

they take with them the joy of reading and we will strive to continue our winning reading ways next year with your wonderful donation of books. The students are in a rural New England town and like to read and have made it clear that these books are the ones that will fire them up.

My Project

We are requesting the latest intermediate and teen Nutmeg award winning books for the cluster. Students in 6th grade can become voracious readers given the right materials to read. They are aware of the Nutmeg books, as titles are shared with them by the librarians. By having these books in the class library, other than the school library, the chances for an addition amount of reading will increase.

Please consider donating whatever you can so that each student has an opportunity to read one of these fabulous, award winning books.

In 6th grade, a student could find that magical book the ignites the desire and passion for reading that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Please help us if you can.
