I teach kindergarten in the Bronx, and every year I have unique students enter my classroom with different strengths, weaknesses and goals.
I want to create an environment that not only fosters their academic growth but also nurtures their unique personalities and backgrounds.
These literacy activities, resources and workstations provided will help my students work on their alphabet skills, blending skills and writing skills. The math resources will help my students learn how to "make 10" which is a big math concept that we work on in kindergarten. The stacking rocks and playdough characters will help them with fine motor skills in a fun way. With these carefully designed math and literacy activities, I aim to provide them with a strong foundation for future learning, while celebrating their individuality. Through well-structured activities, I intend to equip my students with the essential tools they need to succeed in their educational journey.
Kindergarten is a critical time for building self-confidence. By offering activities tailored to different learning styles and abilities, I aim to help each child recognize their strengths and potential.
