Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items that I plan on using through your generous donations will help to play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for the emotional well-being and mental health of my students.
For instance, I added fidget toys as a great outlet for stress relief that can allow them to be able to channel their nervous energy.
A speaker for music becomes a tool for creating a soothing atmosphere and allowing students to regulate their emotions. Along with that, I also plan on offering journals to offer a private space for self-reflection and expression while empowering them to process their own thoughts and feelings.
Resources, like the bean bag chair, will make a world of a difference in comfortability and allow them to communicate with me in ways that they feel like is best for them without the pressure that may come with face to face interactions.
