My Project

I am a social worker working specifically with special education students in a K -5 elementary school (including 4 self contained multiple disabilities classrooms).

My students have unique needs and are unable to re-regulate on their own.

Help give my students tools to learn how to re-regulate.

The bubble lamp would be a great addition to my office as it would help promote my low language students to use their words to describe the objects, and colors. For other students it’s another form of lighting to use as a calming technique, by incorporating breathing techniques.

Other sensory items I have included are board games & card games to work on changing their mindset.

In my wish list I’ve also included snacks; my students are always hungry and sometimes all they need is a quick snack to re-group.
