Our school is 100% free breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all of our scholars. Our school houses a very diverse population with wonderful teachers and staff and students. Many of our scholars live very hard lives (even harder than we can imagine).
My learners are young and ready to learn anything that comes their way.
We, as teachers, try to make our school a home for all of our students. It is our responsibility to try to make learning as fun as possible!
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help my young mathematicians to build their confidence in counting and recognizing the numbers. With the Kwik Stix tempera paint, my learners can create their own flash cards to build on their subitizing skills. In addition, dominoes makes it simple for learners to sort by numbers by counting the pips. The adding button sorting center has a variety of different attributes that gives mathematicians hands-on practice with concepts like big and small, geometric shape, and counting. Finally, having pattern block design cards and math links will provide scholars an opportunity to make and understand what makes a pattern and what shapes put together can make another shape.
The donations to this project will help my young mathematicians grow!
By implementing these materials, my young learners will build on their number sense that will help them succeed in their future years!
