Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Did you know that number sense helps build a foundation for mathematical understanding? Focusing on number sense in the younger grades helps build the foundation necessary to compute and solve more complex problems in older grades.

A strong number sense will allow my students to think flexibly and fluently about numbers.

Students will be able to create relationships with numbers and be able to talk about math as a language at home. Parents will be provided with a workshop with ideas on how to help their children at home. Parents will then be provided with the number sense kit to help their child at home.
