My students traveled from Texas to Phoenix last year to compete at the National Speech & Debate Association competition! We grew from a 5 person team to a team of 40+ students in less than a year. Whereas before I could buy each student a binder and provide supplies, the demand has become too much to keep up with!
My students need the following materials to finalize their scripts used in competition!
The students compete in 2 events in particular called Prose & Poetry. In this event students recite pieces of literature or poetry from their binders and present it with full acting and emotion. They cut out their poems and paste them on black construction paper sheets and place them in sheet protectors. They keep their pieces all year It gives students a chance to let their voices be heard and to express how they are feeling in a controlled environment. Help me take these kids to nationals again!
