My Students

I love my students and my community! I have amazing students who are driven and always strive to succeed. These students exhibit a wide range of academic skills that demand a variety of ways to enhance their learning.

As a teacher, I try to provide engaging, rigorous, and differentiated activities every day.

These children are growing up in a fast-paced world and I want them to be prepared to keep up with these demands and acquire 21st century learning skills.

My Project

I am requesting sensory and tactile learning materials in order to help my students learn the alphabet and become readers! Kindergarten is such an exciting age to teach and I love helping these students grow into emerging readers. Adding a tactile element to our literacy instruction is fun, effective, and engaging.

Multi-sensory learning can help all students develop or strengthen their literacy skills.

Students will use their finger to trace the letters in these "Alphabet Pebbles" as they say the name and sound. This will help them learn and remember these concepts. It will also help them remember the correct pathways for writing the letter. The "Touch and Read Phonics" activity will help students as they begin to blend sounds into words.
