Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students rock! I teach 22 active 5 years old at a Title 1 school, where over 95% of my students are on free or reduced lunch.

In spite of the hardships my students may face, they arrive to my classroom everyday with a smile on their face and ready to learn.

Our school serves students from a low income and high poverty area. My students deal with challenges in the classroom and at home. When a child walks into my classroom, I want them to feel special and forget any hardships they may be going through.

My Project

My classroom is in need of a new laptop to be used with our Promethean Board. Towards the end of kindergarten my students work on research projects and we present them to the class. Currently our desktop computer is not compatible with the programs I like to use. (our desktop is over 10 years old)

This new laptop will allow all my students to present their projects without running into issues of compatibility .

Not only will my students be using this laptop for research and presenting, they will also use it when working on digital centers using our Promethean Board.
