I teach preschool children in the Head Start program whose ages range from 3-5 years old. The Head Start program services low-income families. The students come from different cultural backgrounds as well. I provide a nurturing and caring environment for my students to learn and grow but always want them to have more.
Please help my students by providing new and fun materials for them to use on their journey to learn letters and letter sounds.
Their eagerness and curiosity to learn always amazes me. My students love working together and exploring new things.
My Project
Preschoolers are curious learners and they learn best through fun and interesting hands-on activities. Phonemic and phonological awareness activities are very important at this age and they are needed for all students to learn how to read. By using Uppercase and Lowercase Magnetic Letters, students will be able to identify, match, and write letters. Small group and large group time will be more fun and enriching for the students with the Alphabet Mystery Box, Building Letters and Circle Time Learning Center.
Children learn in different ways and these materials will be very beneficial whether they are visual or hands-on learners.
