Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Education is changing every single day, and so are the rigorous standards we evaluate children on. Students in my classroom like to read about children they can identify with. My school doesn't provide classroom sets of novels, so I would like to have books that will hold their interests and keep them reading and talking about reading in my classroom. As well as provide rigorous materials to challenge students' thinking in order to meet the rigorous standards. In the novel "Because of Mr. Terput," students will address themes of guilt, parent-child relationships, and cooperation.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
