Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One goal for this project is to help my students find the joy in reading by giving them their own copy of our class novel study. I also aim to provide them with annotation tools to show their reading skills in action!

This will promote fluency, expression, and confidence as students read.

Students will be able to read parts of their novels independently, with a buddy, or small group with their own copy of each story. This will allow my students to be more engaged with our novels!

I also included the Scholastic Sticky Situation cards to utilize as brain breaks or class discussions to help students build their social skills, provide opportunities for teamwork, and develop their critical thinking skills.
