Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our project aims to create a calm, safe, and welcoming space where students can access healthy snacks and wellness items without fear of judgment or stigma. Whether students need a quick bite to fuel their focus, a moment to reset emotionally, or simply a place to feel seen and supported, this snack station will thoughtfully and dignifiedly meet their needs. Students who are not distracted by hunger or stress can better concentrate, engage, and thrive in the classroom.

Beyond supporting day-to-day learning, these snacks will fuel our dedicated student volunteers, who give their time and energy to help make school-wide events successful, including our highly anticipated Multicultural Festival.

These students work hard to build community and bring joy to their peers, and we must provide them with the energy and nourishment they need to continue making a difference.

Our students are unique because of their resilience, kindness, and strong sense of community. Many face significant challenges, yet they show up daily ready to learn, support one another, and contribute meaningfully project is our way of giving back—by ma ing sure they are not only academically supported, but lso physically and emotionally cared for in a space where they feel safe, valued, and empowered.
