My Students

Our students are amazing! However, we live on a reservation and unfortunately many of our students have already experienced a great deal of trauma. At our school Physical Education is fun!! I pride myself in finding activities that get their heart rates up and they don't even know it, all they know is it's a great time. Unfortunately, we have limited funds ($300) per year that cannot be carried over for larger items. If you've ever looked at equipment it adds up fast!

No matter what is transpiring at home the majority of our students come ready to learn!

A school is a place our students look forward to coming. I love seeing their smiling faces and enjoy the many hugs. They inspire me each and every day.

My Project

Physical Education should be fun while secretly learning! Shhh...don't tell my kids they are actually learning and exercising in our class. Basketball is a skill our students can play at home with their family or at a park with friends. It's not always about the actual "game" of basketball they learn several games that any level player can enjoy. Crossnet gives our students the opportunity to learn several games in one! 4 square, volleyball, badminton, etc. can be played at home or park as well. Every day is a great day in P.E.
