Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to take notes with a plain old pencil? Well my students take their notes in an interactive notebook where they are allowed to use colored pencil and markers to take their notes and complete classroom assignments.

I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade language arts.

My students have various types of learning disabilities. Due to their learning disabilities school is not their favorite place to be. Learning can be a challenge at times, but thankfully this year we have incorporated an interactive notebook that allows students to express themselves creatively as they learn. It is amazing how excited they become while learning about adjectives if they can make their notes colorful!

My Project

When new students come to our school we like to give them a notebook so they do not have to wait to bring in one. These new students can automatically feel welcomed by beginning their interactive notebook. Interactive notebooks house all their lessons and are used as a study guide for their tests.

These notebooks will help new students feel welcomed in their new school.
