My Project

These materials will give students the opportunity to take a break from their school issued Chromebooks and get hands on with science! Students in Philadelphia do not often get chance to work with physical materials as resources are tight. These materials will give the students an opportunity to keep handwritten notes, create physical drawings of the things they experience in class and have something real to reflect on at the end of the year.

The project aims to provide students with a physical notebook so they can practice taking notes and recording scientific data in authentic way.

Abraham Lincoln High School is one of the most diverse high schools in the country with students from over 50 countries. Many students are learning to improve their English abilities while going in depth in Science. Being able to keep physical records and practice scientific writing with go a long way towards putting them on a path for success.
