Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's not just about Reading Books, it's about becoming authors! My students are bright, creative, and full of stories just waiting to be told. They come to class eager to express themselves, but many lack the resources to turn their ideas into something tangible. Writing is more than just putting words on a page—it’s about finding your voice, sharing your thoughts, and building confidence. That’s why I’m setting up a Writing Lab in our school for many to enjoy, create, and become an authors.

We’re building our classroom library—one student-published book at a time.

Instead of only reading books by published authors, my students will be adding their own original works to our shelves. With Hygloss Blank Books, they will have the perfect space to write, illustrate, and publish their own stories. These books will allow them to bring their imaginations to life—whether they’re crafting personal narratives, poetry, or informational texts. Seeing their own books in our library will inspire them to read more, write more, and take pride in their work.

This project will provide my students with the materials they need to engage in meaningful, self-directed writing. It will foster a classroom culture where every voice matters and every story is valued. Your donation will help fill our Writing Lab with books waiting to be written—giving each child the opportunity to create something truly their own. Thank you for supporting our young writers!
