Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten isn't just "Child's Play"! We have increasing expectations year after year for the academic requirements of our kiddos.

My students are such a phenomenal bunch!

They have already been identified as Gifted and Talented. Our school, however, is located in an area that is economically disadvantaged. Many are students who come from homes where English is not the primary language. They have an extraordinary attitude toward learning and soak up anything I try to teach them!

My Project

Kids learn by doing, by discovering-there's no question about that. Unfortunately that means they have to have access to resources. These activities would put some excitement back into their learning as well as help them be more successful in reading and math.

With these materials you would be helping lay the foundation of learning that will last these young students a lifetime!

It would also be a great lesson for them in gratitude and generosity. People haven't given them much in life and they are very grateful for the learning opportunities that do come their way. If these kids can read, write and add well-they will be successful in anything they attempt.
