This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Transitional kindergarten is the first time students have ever been in school. This is the first time they are playing with children of the same age. Playing outside will improve children’s chance of future health, success and their social skills. Most of my students belong to low income families and they live in apartments. Many families do not have safe outdoor places to play.

The materials that I am asking for in my project, bubbles, stilts and tents, will help my young learners learn to take turns, to help each other, to plan, to negotiate, to figure things out.
