Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my school, most of the kindergarteners were learning at home last year. In fact, about 70% of them were learning at home and now come into school like they own the place! These children have made an amazing transition into 1st grade. Every morning I get to see them with the biggest smiles on their faces (even with masks on). My 1st graders make me smile every day from their stories to their jokes, I couldn't have asked for a better group of children. We have been in 1st grade together for 6 months and have had so much fun. As we have started our new non-fiction unit I have noticed that the children have had some difficulties with thinking about topics to write about. What could be better than having books to help complete a research project to help them learn even more about topics?!?!

Please help us receive non-fiction books that can help with our reading and writing non-fiction units.
