Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a fifth grade. They come from warm and caring families.

My students are eager and energetic learners that love to express themselves.

They love all aspects of schooling especially working in groups and hands-on learning. Together, with my students, we are looking forward to an exciting year.

My Project

TIME For Kids will be used during our Social Studies instructional block. The materials will be used in class and for home learning activities.

These magazines will help provide the students with current real world articles that they can use to enhance the social studies curriculum and reinforce reading skills.

Most of our curriculum focuses around fiction text and the non fiction text is usually on older un-relatable topics. These magazines will give the students current topics to read and be able to relate to. Making that kind of connection will really bring learning alive for my students.
