This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we enter our reading non-fiction unit, we have been having difficulty finding interesting, engaging, and relevant non-fiction texts. These texts were written within the past 10 years and are great non-fiction novels that my students will be engaged with. While creating a literacy-based classroom, I want to give enough spotlights to each genre. We truly need some great non-fiction novel studies for students to connect to and understand that non-fiction doesn't have to be boring or disengaging, but relatable, engaging, and fun to read! Help my students get their hands on these great non-fiction texts!
