My Students

Have you ever been fascinated by learning new things? Do you remember the first time you read a book you couldn't put down?

My class is made up of 32 students that are very eager to learn.

They attend a school in New York where there are over 40 different languages spoken. All of the children in my school receive free lunch and breakfast. My students are eager to learn about new things.

My Project

With the new common core learning standards more nonfiction reading is being integrated into the curriculum. In order to help prepare students for the future and to be ready for college, it has become more important than ever for them to have nonfiction books to read. By providing students with interesting topics to read about it such as: The U.S. Constitution, Gray Wolves, The Washington Monument, and the Olympics, this will help to foster their love of learning and increase their interest levels.

Please help us to learn more about interesting places around the world and exciting new topics.

We are eager to read these 20 different nonfiction books and the 6 nonfiction book sets. After reading our books, we then write our own books and research reports using what we have learned. We are so grateful for all of your help.
