Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We tend to take basic supplies for granted; it isn't until you no longer have access to those basic supplies that you realize how vital they are.

My students live in a high poverty area of New York City.

The class consists of general and special education students. They love to write, draw, and create. My students come from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds and don't always have access to the basic supplies they need. I want to create a learning environment that meets all of my students' needs.

My Project

My students need noise-canceling headphones for everyday use in the classroom. These headphones will enable students to focus and not be distracted in the classroom. They will allow us to get more work done and have more time for lessons. Many students are unable to work independently because of noise and distractions in the environment. Noise canceling headphones will allow the students who need it to focus on what's important and be engaged.

The smallest things can make the biggest difference in the lives of my students.

With your help, my students will have much-needed resources that will make a lasting impact on their education. Please help my students with this classroom necessity.
