This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I have students with special needs that have auditory sensitivity. Within my classroom of 23 students, my students with auditory sensitivity can become disregulated and overwhelmed by the noise.

The noise canceling headphones can be used not only in the classroom, but in the cafeteria where the noise level is loud or in the gym.

These headphones can create a safe place for students to be calm and be able to regulate to be successful in my classroom and around the school building. I have also requested a weighted turtle that my students will special needs can hold for a comfort and to therefor help regulate bodies for a successful learning environment.
