Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Entering middle school is always a HUGE transition. My students come from all walks of life, with different attitudes, cultures, backgrounds, thoughts, feelings, and personalities. They are all artists of some sort--- musicians, writers, actors and actresses, dancers, visual artists, and photographers-- who desire to be well-rounded individuals.

Collectively, they all have one thing in common: They are at a new school and are excited for the world that awaits them.

My goal as an educator is to ensure that I am able to foster and develop the flame within each of them as they embark on this new journey. My classroom is their gateway to deeper knowledge, greater understanding, and a more fulfilled LIFE!

My Project

During this day and age, every child needs access to technology in order to be successful inside and outside of the classroom. Thankfully, many children begin learning and utilizing technological devices during their early childhood years with inventions such as LeapPad, YouTube, and ABC Mouse. Unfortunately, this usage is not universal and every child does not have equal access to these materials.

The addition of 4 HP Chromebooks to my Language Arts classroom will guarantee that each student will have access to all of the essential online resources required to help ensure a successful school year.

With an average of 20-25 students per class, I will be better able to differentiate instruction and allow 4 students at a time to work at their level using the Chromebooks.

Some of the mandatory online resources for my class include ReadTheory, Quill, and Typing which collectively help improve reading, grammar, and typing skills essential for overall success.

My aim as an educator is not only to educate students but to help shape valuable contributing citizens of the world. Your donation to my classroom is an investment into the future. Thank you in advance!
