My Project

One of the main things students like to do when visiting the library is checking out books. Well what happens when the cover of the book is interesting but the text is too difficult to read and comprehend? Striving readers deserve to have a nice selection of fiction and nonfiction books that they can checkout for their reading enjoyment and completing assignments requiring printed sources.

Having the right supports in place give striving readers the potential to become thriving readers.

Reading supports must be ideal so that striving readers are not stigmatized. There should be different types of books offered to improve comprehension, engage with the material, and connect with the readers interests. Every student should have the opportunity to explore and dream while reading regardless of grade or reading level.
