My Students

We were just about to open our listening center before the storm came. Students were excited to work in a new center. Without this center students who are struggling to read will not have the opportunity to sit and listen to stories without noise around the class.

My students are caring first graders that love to learn.

They read everyday and help each other when reading and writing. Our school is a elementary/middle school, therefore we are able to watch our students grow and learn. We follow them from grade to grade and i have know most of these students since they were in pre-k. Our school is a area where most students have very little. They a thankful for everything they receive and never ungrateful. They learn how to appreciate learning tools and as they move from grade to grade always come back to visit. Because we work in such a close knit neighborhood I have had the privilege of teaching some of my old students siblings in my class today.

My Project

With these resources I will be able to take my students learning to the next level. Students who are audio learners will be able to listen to what I have taught and see/hear it in a different way. Students who have difficulty reading will be able to listen to a story and they following along in a book. This will impact students who are able to read by allowing them to listen to more challenging books and learn what the words are without asking anyone. Finally this will allow students who do not like to read the opportunity to listen to a story without actually reading. They will learn without even knowing it

This resource is important because it will enhance my students learning and create better readers and learners.

Also, they were so excited when they knew they were going to be able to go to this center. They were so disappointed when I informed them that the center was damaged in the storm.
