My Project

Our school serves a community that is located in a rural part of our county. Due to poverty and lack of resources, our students live in a food desert.

I provide snacks and bottled water for students when they are hungry at school.

I give them out to students at no charge when they miss breakfast or know they won’t have any food to eat at home.

When students have their basic needs met, they are better able to focus and learn. Students also feel cared for and loved when we show that we have food for them.
