My Students

When you enter my classroom you become part of our family. My class is hard working and dedicated to learning all that they can.

My students are 7th graders in a self contained special education classroom.

I have worked with them since they started 6th grade and will be with them again this year. They are dedicated to their school work and try really hard at everything I assign them. My students love science and history and love to explore museums on those topics.

My Project

Last year we visited the Natural History Museum many times during the day and saw signs for the sleepover event. My students have asked me how they could save the money for the sleepover but the reality of the situation is my classes families can not afford the trip and my school can not pay for it either. This trip allows students to stay over in the museum and take a night time tour which will re-invest them in their studies.

I want to teach my students that if they work hard they can earn things in life so I'm asking for help to give them something to work for.

I also want to give them an experience that they can not afford on their own.
