My Project

I am so excited to be a new 5th-grade teacher! We are a departmentalized ELA classroom, which means that reading and writing are taught in more than one homeroom. Having multiple classes use one room makes organization key! "A place for everything and everything in its place" takes on a whole new meaning when there are over 60 students in and out of our classroom.

As they prepare for middle school, 5th graders yearn to be recognized and respected as individuals.

To achieve this, our goal is to make students as independent and self-sufficient as possible. A tidy and organized classroom is essential. The magazine holders will help to keep group-work together. Magnetic files will provide a place for students to easily find graphic organizers and classroom correspondence. Students can easily locate what they need when they need it while staying on task.
