My Project

As the current school year starts to wind down, I am already looking forward to next year. In what will be my 12th year of teaching, I am looking to dial in my lessons to provide even more meaningful instruction for my students.

I recently gave a quiz where the majority of the students failed, despite having access to their notes.

All I could think about was how I needed to do better as a teacher to ensure that my students understood the material. I went from colleague to colleague, website to website trying to find the answer. Apparently, I wasn't the only teacher feeling defeated. One solution kept coming up over and over again: EduProtocols.

EduProtocols are instructional lesson frames that are designed to engage students in learning through critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. They can be used with any subject, any grade level, kindergarten through adult.

While there are several websites, YouTube videos, and online groups that support EduProtocols, the Field Guides are the ultimate resource for getting started. Each field guide outlines classroom-tested protocols to break up cliched lesson plans, build culture, and deliver content to K-12 students in a supportive, creative environment.
