My students need a Jullian Travel Table/ Easel Top to watch as I instruct how to draw and/or apply colors, and a Teacher Without Room Cart from Blick Materials.
New York Traveling Artist goes from room to room inspiring young students. I am starting a brand new program in a title one school where students receive free lunch. The program is called "Blueprints Of Visual Arts for K-5th grades." Special Education students will be involved as well. These students are diverse learners and need an outlet in which to express their feelings of anger, frustration, anxiety and fears, into something meaningful, such as a piece of art. This art will have ownership to them and become a personal piece where they can share their beliefs and feelings with others.
These students are talented and have not had an art program that tied the standards into the arts. This art program will blend in all subjects such as social studies, literature, math, and art history, and will enable the students to learn different methods of art and techniques. The difficult situation is that there is no available room for me to have with this program. I will not have my own classroom and will have to go from classroom to classroom and bring my supplies with me. I will not have an easel to draw on and model the techniques required to teach my students to draw. If I had a traveling cart to keep my supplies in, and a desktop easel to draw from, this program would be off to a good start.
I need a traveling cart, and a desktop easel from Blick Art Materials to place art history books, paints, art materials and crayons in. This program will enter classrooms of all grades and be extremely valuable to the program I will teach.
Your help will ensure that my students can experience how powerful art can be when applied to the standards and benchmarks of this program. You will make it possible by donating this traveling cart and desktop easel by Blick Art Materials, to help bring the arts back to the classroom. I want to thank you for reading my project and sharing it with your friends. It would not be possible without our loyal and generous donors, and we thank you.
