My Students

I have 13, three and four year old, students in my class. We have 11 girls and two boys. We are an at-risk program located in Richmond. Many students come from low-income families and may have challenges to face at home; however, they come to school ready to learn!

Our students are curious, excited, and hard working!

They all learn in different ways, so we are constantly thinking of new strategies to teach them and get them ready for Kindergarten!

My Project

This year we are back in our classroom! I want to continue using various forms of technology to incorporate some of the new lessons I created for virtual learning last year. We need a new CD player because Music and Movement is such an integral part of our day. We use it for welcoming our students, calming our students, dancing, singing, and, of course, learning! Along with the new CD player, I chose several CDs that will help with these activities. Calming music will help settle our students for naptime, dancing music will get them moving, and alphabet songs will help them learn.
