My Students

My students are wonderful, energetic and very hands on learners who present with autism spectrum disorder. They all bring their individuality and joy to our new school site everyday. That being said, creating a comfortable, resourceful and sensory welcoming school environment takes a whole community.

With the help of therapy materials geared towards hands on learning providing not only visual supports, but functional opportunities to address social communication, I am confident that our children will thrive in this new school.

My Project

Children on the autism spectrum each need different levels of sensory input to make sense of their environment. By having Flex-Space Wobble Cushions and Fat Brain Toys Teeter Popper will allow the students to regulate their environment promoting focus and attention. In addition, having Nouns, Verbs and Adjectives Learning Cards (visual supports), Social Skills Board Games and Language Builder Sequencing Flash Cards Photo Action and Self-Help Skills Sequence Cards for Autism Education and ABA Therapy will help promote independence.

With the help of colorful and exciting Regular and Irregular Verb Tenses Fun Deck Flash Cards, children who have difficulty expressing themselves will be motivated to make social connections and can help increase verbal output.
