This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are such curious and enthusiastic learners. Right off the bat we start the year working on our phonics by learning and practicing the letters and sounds. As we move on to word families and short decodable words, the students' reading takes off.

I would love to add these decodable books to my changing and growing library.

Research has shown that strong phonics work is the foundation for strong readers. These decodable books will support the consistent and strong phonics work we do in kindergarten as we learn to read!
