Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we enter into the new school year, many things will be changing in our school, and I want to make it a priority to stay ahead of those changes by eliminating potential issues, such as budget cuts. This past year was successful because you all made my life and my students life a lot easier, especially being they are Title I. Many of the items the obtained lightened their load physically, because all the supplies were in arms reach, and it lighten the load for parents financially. As we ended the school year, I reflected on something, and recognized that I have a goal that is built around responsibility. Thus, the purpose of the supply list.

The goal for this school year is to teach responsibility, using the binders, pencils, and writing utensil bags.

I plan to do better with binder checks and other care taking exercises that will help students take care of their music binders. I also look to teach students the importance of keeping a clean instrument, by using the woodwind cleaning cloths. During the first few weeks I plan to go through a training that will teach each instrumental section the importance instrumental care. Accomplishing this and other goals will help students understand the value of what they have.
