My Project

Our class enjoyed an amazing start of 8th grade in 2023, and we are SO excited to continue that start as 2024 kicks off! This project is built around the continuation of our classroom as a comfortable place for students to learn and grow!

We are requesting items and books that will make our classroom a place where students can be both physically and emotionally comfortable in our time together!

Rocking chairs are a favorite seating option for independent reading time. As students sit in the same types of chairs for 7 hours (and 5 minutes- but who's counting? ;) a day, this change is both a necessity and a luxury! Standing tables give even more options for a needed change. A desk with more drawers for storage (our classroom has a total of two drawers!) keeps our classroom organized and productive, as we use lots of materials throughout our block together.

Literature and texts that appeal and engage students in reading is a cornerstone of our classroom and philosophy. The collection here represents student requests, including the newly released book five to the ever popular Heartstopper collection! This projects wraps up with some literary reward stickers as students meet their reading goals.
