Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a special education teacher in an inclusion classroom. This will be my second year working with my students, first in 4th grade and now in fifth. I am looking forward to spending another year with them. They are very bright and hardworking children. They are very thoughtful and polite and love to volunteer to help each other and their teachers. They made so much progress last year and I cannot wait to see how much they grow this year. I know that they are capable of doing great things.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because they will introduce them to new titles that are similar to ones they already love. Many of the students in my class enjoyed reading Wonder and Harry Potter. These titles are suggested for those that enjoyed these books.
My students are always looking for new books to read and new worlds to explore.
They will be used for independent reading in school and at home. Our library is getting kind of stale so I know that they will enjoy these books.
Many of these books are part of a series. I hope that if they enjoy one book, they will want to read the rest of the series.
