This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am building a community of creative, empathetic, enthusiastic young learners! I want my students to feel safe in taking risks, both academically and socially.

I want to foster a lifelong passion for learning and imagination!

These are our youngest learners, coming from very diverse backgrounds, and I want to set the foundation of loving school, learning and creativity. Many of my students are English-language learners and having access to this imaginative learning will foster their language development and confidence as they grow throughout the year.

My Project

My kinders need new literacy materials!

We use the AMAZING literacy curriculum called Tools of the Mind!

When I started in this classroom last year, I was piecing together a 7-year old kit for the Tools of the Mind curriculum. The previous teacher retired and the old kit needs to retire, as well. :) This program has SO many fantastic materials, but many of them were missing or damaged. I would like to start with a brand new kit for my students, complete with everything they will need for their reading and writing adventures for the entire year!
