My Students

A typical day requires many visuals to aide my students. I would like my students to communicate better in school. An app on the iPad can help. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. iPads will make the project more meaningful.

I work with Special Education students.

They love the computer. They look up educational games - PBSKIDS is a favorite. The school teachers are very friendly and many of my students wave, but I am sure they would much rather be able to communicate with their favorite teachers. People are supportive of each other and friendly.

My Project

They will use the iPads to find information, and I plan to download an app with picture symbol communication. Students will use the iPad to request needed items in the school and comment on stories we read in class. They will be able to draw with minimal mess. They can study not only new, but previously learned skills as well.

These iPads will help students to better communicate, as well as explore new things.

Students can ask for water and pencils and paper. They can take virtual tour of different environments.They will be able to look up information quickly.
