Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching in a new school. My class is design and modeling, so my students create various prototypes for children with Cerebral Palsy. I see 100 students a day and need a place to store all of the materials they are working on so they can work on them the next day. I have a window sill, but the table I want is a lot wider, so the projects would fit better and I could create sections so each group has a space. The walls are empty and hard to hang work up on. Staples don't always stick and I can't push thumbtacks into it. Cork board bulletin boards would be a much easier way for me to display their work and then the clothespin push pins would make it easier to swap out their work after we finish a new project. Cardboard is the main material we use for some of the projects, and after cutting it, it leaves a huge mess of scraps around the room. Having a broom and a dust buster would make it easier for my students to clean up, and honestly I think more fun, too. These projects they are creating take a lot of time and effort and I want to make sure they have a safe spot to keep and display them.
