Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a new teacher, my goal with this project is to help provide my students with classroom materials in order to help them learn in a fun, interactive, and dynamic way! Being in a primarily Latin, low-income school, most students do not show up with the proper tools necessary for academic access. Thus, I have asked for pencils and an electric sharpener as they use them every day in the classroom. With the amount of hard work my students put in, they can go through a lot of pencils so I would love to be able to provide them with these supplies.

Having whiteboards, board markers, and erasers in the classroom will make learning much more enjoyable and engaging.

Students will utilize their whiteboard for critical thinking exercises, competitions, math problem solving and calculations, both individually and in small groups.
