My Students

Physical science is required for all freshman at our high school. It's their first taste of high school science, and they need basic supplies to support their learning and their curiosity.

Our high school is one of the most diverse schools in Seattle, with a strong story of learning.

Students come together from all walks of life to form a supportive, unified community. In physical science, these students show vibrant energy, and are eager to learn.

My Project

Over 70% of students receive free or reduced lunch support, which means their families are working hard to provide them with basic resources. As a new teacher, I am starting with an empty classroom, and would like to build up classroom sets of resources, so that students can focus on learning. I've also added a couple science materials to get us started on our first units.

Simple tools like scissors, markers, and calculators make a huge difference in learning.

These resources--and your support--remind me and my students that many, many people are part of our community.
