This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help me to give new supplies to my incoming first graders. I always remember going to the store at the end of the summer to get all my supplies for school. It made the beginning of the school year so much fun and very exciting. I want to be able to do that for my scholars that are coming in to my class. I like to make them pencil pouches with the own personal supplies.
In my classroom, we use dry erase boards everyday to practice our math skills and our writing.
The children love to have their own boards that they can use at anytime of the day. We use them during whole group, small group and center time. Every morning during small group time we work on our phonics skills. First grade is an important year for the children to learn how to read. The children love to have different manipulatives to help them grow as readers.
