My Students

When you walk into my classroom, you will see creative and innovative students. My classroom motto is, "It's okay to think outside the box." Students are growing up in our ever-changing world and need an important chance to think freely in multiple and varied ways.

Thinking outside of the box is not something that every teacher enjoys, but the reality is that not all students fit inside the box.

My classroom is a safe haven for all students to learn.

My Project

I have been doing flexible seating for the past two years and some of our equipment is breaking and slowly falling apart. Stools have become a popular item for the students to use which have caused some of them to break. Stools are a great option for students as it allows them to move around the room and sit wherever they want to. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed.
